Trump’s
Political Fate Lies with GOP Voters
After
January 6 committee Hearings
Hope
you're staying cool and welcome to meet the press now.
We
have questions of accountability. The January 6 committee
Primetime
hearing last night amidst breaking news that is jury has convicted Steve cannon
on two counts of criminal contempt of congress for refusing to rip supply with
Subpoenas.
And
the conviction comes amid the January 6 committee wrapping up a summer of eight
Bombshell
hearings with conclusions and warnings from the vice chair.
There
was no ambiguity, no nuance. Donald trump made a purposeful choice to violate
his oath of office and every American must consider this.
Can
a president who is willing to make the choices that Donald trump made during
the violence of January 6 ever be trusted with any position of authority in our
great nation, again?
That
question is seemingly aimed at republican voters what one time in the hands of
Republican
senators but it will be republican voters who will decide political fate with
the
Knowledge
of the committee initial findings the republican voters have to grapple with
This
question, knowing what they know now, should elected republicans be voted in
the
Impeachment
trial which could bar him from holding a federal office again.
Because
what the committee has done is take the basic facts that congress and the American
people new in the immediate aftermath of the insurrection and they fill it in
with so much supporting evidence with witness testimony. We knew then that
president trump had lost the election and there was no evidence of widespread
fraud but now we also know that trump was told he lost the election at every
level and we knew then that president trump denied the election results and
floated out Landis theories and now we also know that the justice department
investigated the claims and told president trump numerous times that they were nonsense.
His
white house lawyers told him as well. We knew that president trump was pushing
for an investigation on the claim now we also know he nearly blew up the
justice department over it. We also knew that president trump wanted to march
to the capital following his speech on january 6 of last year and we know how
and 10 he was on trying to leave the crowd he knew was armed to the capital including
the heated concentration and apparently plan to have a podium erected somewhere
near the supreme court. We knew then president trump did put out a message to
call off the mob for more than three hours and now we also know he took no real
action during that time
Except
to call allies in the senate in a further attempt to stop the counting of the electoral
vote even after someone had died and we now know from outtakes of the video message
from after the riots that he could not bring himself than to say what everyone
has known all along that the election was and is over.
This
election is now over. Congress has certified the results. I do not want to say
the election is over. I just want to say that congress has certified the
Results.
The
committee has arguably accomplished what it set out to do, layup evidence that
President
trump violated his oath of office and the threat did not
