Defence Day | English Speech | for all School

In the name of Almighty Allah who is the most merciful, the most beneficent.

Respected teachers and honorable judges,

Today the topic of my speech is “Defence Day”

6^th September is celebrated as Defence Day in Pakistan. We celebrate this day in commemoration of 1965 war between India & Pakistan. Indian Army attacked Pakistan. They wanted to capture Lahore. But all their evil designs were dashed to the ground by Pakistan army. The brave and courageous army of Pakistan alongwith the nation defeated the Indian army. Indian army had to lick the dust and Pakistani nation and the army proved that number and weapons don’t count its belief and courage that counts.

Worthy audience and respectable judges.

Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed who was appointed at Lahore border paralyzed the enemy and didn’t let them move. He was martyred but his valour and bravery was acknowledged by the Government of Pakistan and he was awarded with highest military award “Nishan-e-Haider”.

Every year Pakistan nation celebrates this day to honour those sacrifices which were made by our civilians and armed forces for defending their homeland.

A famous generalist said about “6th Sep, 1965”.

“The day is like a golden unit in the history of Pakistan. In this historical day Pak Army fought against the enemy with a such great determination and valour which is unparallel in the history of the World”.

This day also urges us to vow firmly to lay down our lives for our motherland when the need arises. We salute to armed forces of Pakistan.
