If I could meet anyone from the past who would it be | English Speech | For all School

In the name of Almighty Allah who is the most merciful, the most beneficent

Worthy President & distinguished audience!

Today, the topic on which I’m honoured to speak is, “If I could meet anyone from the past who would it be.”

Mr. President!

Carlyle once stated that “ The history of the world is but the biography of great men”  and no doubt the change in the world is always brought by one man, whom we call “the leader”. Who has the vision and the force not only to make people dream, but to reach and live that dream. He is intelligent enough to foresee tomorrow. He is selfless and courageous to an extent of being ready to scarify everything and express truth even if it defames him. People follow him where he takes them. He is the one who accelerates history and for whom nature proclaims itself.

“It is the beauty that captures your attention; it’s

personality which captures your heart”

If I would meet any one from the past it would definitely be Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah the most reverent leader of the Muslims of the subcontinent. He was a man having a strong moral character unmatched by any other contemporary leader of those days. He is quoted as an example of impeccable integrity on which he never compromised. He is a role model for those who believe that in a Muslim nation personal character of leadership is as important as other necessary inherent qualities of leadership which get radiated to inspire people at large. The founding father of Pakistan who was an embodiment of qualities of head and heart. As Beatrix Potter says

“I hold that a strongly marked personality

can influence descendants for generations”.

Why I would like to meet Quaid-e-Azam because if he can be brought back to me then I can bring my Pakistan back to me. I want a Pakistan where peace reigns supreme. A Pakistan where children can play in the streets to their hearts, content and will not be kidnapped. I want a Pakistan where such a thing as law exists and it is not only followed and respected by the people but especially by those who make these laws and implement them.

Mr. President!

It is a result of those follies that our homeland is suffering great losses. He gave us golden principles i.e Unity, Faith and Discipline. It is a great pity that our practical demonstration is quite opposite to these golden and matchless pieces of advice.

Everyone is at war with the other, our strong nation has now reduced to a cripple and we are socially, economically and morally lagging far behind the world.

Mr. President & respected audience!

This was the pain and agony of my heart that I revealed here. I am sure that you all are feeling in the same regrettable and pathetic manner.

My dear ones in these moments when our hearts are repleted with admirable memories of our Quaid, everyone would like to flight in the past and want to meet this great personality.
