My Favourite Book
“A good book is the precious life blood of a master
spirit, embalmed and treasured up on purpose for a life beyond”
Books
are considered one of the oldest means of getting knowledge, but only those men
can be influenced by the books who love knowledge. They must not necessarily
dedicate themselves to the things of the mind but must realize the value of the
knowledge. Knowledge is more permanent than the pleasure of emotions which in
their very nature are unstable. So, knowledge must be preferred both to the
pleasures of the affections and those of senses. We feed the body several times
a day. We must feed the mind equally and we can not do that if we do not
possess books.
(Ideal: No doubt all the books ………………… seek guidance)
“Books give new views to life, and teach us how to live,
they
Sooth the grieved, the stubborn they chastise, fools they
admonish and confirm the wise”
May Allah enable us
to understand the Holy Quran and act upon it.
My Best Friend
A man
can not live and survive alone in a society. He is to live and deal with many
people living around him. He is on good terms with some of them and they are
called his “friends”. Friendship is the sacred relationship between two hearts.
It is more tender than flowers. Only a slight selfishness is enough for it to
fade away. Adversity is its touch stone, selfish and fair weather friends leave
in the lurch that’s why it is said “A friend in need is a friend indeet”.
Good
friends are really an invaluable asset. They sooth in sufferings and troubles
and criticize when some wrong is committed. The are the best guide of a person.
A friend can mar or build one’s personality and character so, no doubt “A
man is known by the company he keeps”.
(Ideal: I have many friends …………………… I am proud of my
friend)
“Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried,
grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel”.
My Best Teacher
“A best teacher is
that who teaches from the heart not from the book”
Teaching
is a very noble profession. It is also called the “Profession of prophets”
because a teacher is the person who not only teaches the students but also
guide them morally and spiritually and moulds their minds and characters. A
student is a raw diamond when he enters a school. It is the teacher who
polishes his mind and makes him a useful citizen. So, the importance of a
teacher can never be denied for a society because the progress of a nation
depends on education and the concept of the education is incomplete without
teachers. Islam also has laid a great stress on the respect and reverence of
the teacher as Hazrat Ali (R.A) once said, “He who taught me a single word
enslaved me”
(Ideal: All of my teachers ……………….. asset of the school)
A visit to an historical place
(Ideal: A visit to some …………. Built in a park)
One is
struck with admiration when one casts a look upon its gateway of red sand
stone. The fountains, the green garden with the pillars of cypress, the marble platform
all add to the beauty of the tomb. (Book: The park is coloured………… lay buried).
The garden is an appropriate setting lost in the contemplation of its beauty.
(Book: The tomb has four ……………………. Enjoyed a lot)
